Time for the Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit, peeps! And I made SIX Valentine’s Day/ Love cards in one go.
By the way, I’ve decided I like Simon Says Stamp so much, I’ve become and affiliate partner and you can use THIS LINK to buy! Thank you!
Not gonna lie…this month I struggled with the card kit. The vintage colors felt a bit washed out to me, and I couldn’t quite feel the gold Gelato with clear embossing ink. While I love them together (see this post on embossing resist here) I just didn’t love them with the colors of paper in the set. But let’s take a look:
Here are those cards again:
Note that I fell back to one of my favorite techniques- Stamping with Acrylic Blocks. It’s so easy to get that watercolored background look!
This set of six cards took about 3 hours….much longer than I regularly need to get going. Ever feel that way- kind of in a slump? How do you snap out of it? (I actually went back to the inspiration sheets of previous card kits to get jumpstarted, as well as using that watercolor technique that I love.)
Which card is your favorite? Leave me a comment, I’d love to hear from you!

I love the purple-red with lots of hearts on the left and the “will you be my valentine” sentiment on pink card. Lately, I have been kind of in a slump with card making, too, preferring more mixed media projects. That paper clip heart is very cool.
Your card are Fabulous WOW girl you really did one outstanding creative job with the SSS Feb Card kit…your totally Rocked it’s contents. my favorite it the one with the two hearts with the washi tape running vertically behind them and you have the red button and water coloring behind it…foils gelatos ets….Loved them all tho.
YOU ROCK!!
Jenny, is that gelato on top of foil on the heart in the top photo on the right? It is so beautiful, I would love to know what you did there!!
I really don’t think that I can pick a favorite. Every one is lovely…….you did a fantastic job and I might just have to lift some of your ideas! VERY well done……….TFS!
Nicole, you nailed it! Yes, I foiled the heart rather randomly and I decided a little gelato color on top would make it pop. 🙂
Wow! Your ideas on top of theirs took the Valentines over the top! Yours are the ones I’d like to have around for ideas. NICE!
