Well, friends- I’ve made it through one whole month of my #OneLittleTag craft challenge! I have 31 tags for January all done. (You might know this already if you follow along on Periscope.) Take a look at my photos below to see the tags I did for this January!
1-5: gelatos, color bursts, some gel pastes and heat/dry embossing. Just getting in my groove!
#6-10. Did some of these at CHA on the plane!
11-15. More doodling and stamping, and I dipped into my “art snacks”- little bits of ephemera I started rounding up.
16-20. Lots of gelli printing, watercolors, and layering.
21-25: I really got into the gelli printing, stencilling with gesso, and lots of layers. I also used a polymer clay pieces I’d made years ago and started the “found objects” prompt. I “found” the burlap, metal bits, and wood pieces.
26-31. I feel like I’m starting to develop my own style and I’m doing more “storytelling” through the pieces now.

A few things to remember:
- Interpret the challenge as you wish. Make one a day, skip a day, make three and then pause- it’s up to you.
- Don’t be afraid to make ugly things. A challenge is a gift to try-and fail- at new techniques. We only learn from trying and practicing, right?
- Tell your story & share freely. Share with us your thoughts, techniques, products, etc. Let us support you and you will certainly do the same for others.
