Glittered Napkin Card Techniques- Three Ways
The holiday season is upon us and that means making cards and tags. That also means it’s time to pull out the pretty printed paper napkins and make some GORGEOUSNESS!
So, as my mom and I were discussing, there are a few ways to make Glittered Napkin Cards. But which why is the best? I suppose it depends on cost, the amount of time it takes, and what you already have on hand.
Of course, being me, I had to practice THREE ways and share my results with you.

Made with Heat Embossing Ink and Powder.

Made with Extreme Glitter Mod Podge.
I know you want to see the full process… so I made you a video!
So to recap– you *may* need:
- Xyron adhesive OR
- Double Stick Sheets with
- Extra Fine Glitter;
OR
- Extreme Glitter Mod Podge
OR
- Emboss Dauber OR
- Versamark refill with a brayer OR
- Versamark Pad with
- Heat Embossing Powder
It just all depends on which version you like and have time for!
Personally– I’ll stick with the Mod Podge. Easy and cheap!

What a fabulous technique! I think I like the Mod Podge technique the best because it is less costly and when you are on a limited budget that really is a plus. If you do not have the glittery one, can you just add glitter to regular Mod Podge and come out with the same effect> Thanks for your inspiring video.
I have to ask: what’s a napkin card?
I loved watching your video making cards with napkins. Years ago my daughters used napkins and Styrofoam balls to create ornaments. They used pipe cleaners for the hook part. You are the only person I’ve seen use napkins for other things. Thanks for the tips!
Actually, I love using napkins to decorate seasonal candles, too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZC4enkvduqc
It’s a greeting card that you make using a napkin as the background or base. You can see the Hanukkah napkins I used in the video, and the cards with the dreidels are made from them.
