Here’s another fun and innovative product from Viva Decor– 3D Glitter Gel. It’s a medium body molding past that is chock-full of glitter and chunky bits. It’s a quick way to add mega-texture to your projects! As usual, I thought I’d start with some swatching. I applied the two versions of the Glitter Gel to some sheet music, white, and black paper so we can really get a sense of how opaque the color really is. You can see that […]
One of my crafty loves is polymer clay, and I’ve reviewed Studio by Sculpey (may it rest in peace) and Pardo Jewellery Clay by Viva Decor. Newest version on the block? Pardo Art Clay by Viva Decor. Lisa Pavelka has been working with Viva Decor for a while now, and she likes this formulation so much that she has lent her name to it and made it part of her “Signature Series.” So let’s get to it! If you are […]
Thanks to all of you who commented on Monday’s post about the Viva Decor Pearl Pens. There were 16 comments, and Random.org selected lucky #6- RACHAEL!! Congrats, Rachael, and I’ll be sending out your Pearl Pens ASAP!
Yea! I wrote up a review of these fun, dimensional Pearl Pens by Viva Decor, and it’s up on CraftCritque.com today. So here’s the deal: go on over and read my review and then come on back hear to leave me a comment on what you thought. I’ll select one comment at random and that crafty gal will win THREE of the pens to try out for themselves! I’ll pull the name on Friday, May 21st around noon EST. I’ll […]
Yeah, I’m crafting like a fiend these days…and my latest crafty play date and resulting review is on a vacuum-powered hot-fix crystal setter by Viva-Decor called the “Glitz-Up.” While I loved the idea, but it had a few issues. It didn’t knock my socks off, but still it’s a pretty cool tool. Head over to Craft Critique to read my review of the Glitz-Up (disclosure), and then follow this link to read my review of the Crystal Crafter (disclosure) to […]
I’ll start off by saying that I love paint, and have a deep-in-my-soul love affair with glimmer and shimmer. For those reasons, Precious Metal Colors by Viva-Decor is my new g0-to paint. When the paints arrived in the mail, I couldn’t wait to try them out. The paints can be used for many surfaces, but for this review, I used them on paper, cardboard, glass, and a sealed wood surface. (I promise I’ll do a follow up review on polymer […]
I LOVE CraftCritique.com– it’s such great site for news and reviews on all things crafty. (Ok, and I write for them, too, but really I’m not biased.) If you are at ALL interested, you should click on over and read all the updates. Since I’ve been here, I specifically have written articles on Ice Resin (non-toxic 2 part epoxy), Viva-Decor’s Precious Metal Paints, and Carol Duvall. Go check out their coverage- you’ll be glad you did!
I got a call last night from Christina (darling gal) from Viva Decor, giving me some scoop about the new Pardo clay they are bringing to CHA Winter in Anaheim. Since I’m going next week, I got super excited & took down the stats: The new clay is considered “professional grade” and will be firmer It will come in 14 primary colors for custom blending, plus a translucent. The translucent is so clear you can read through it, and it […]
One of the things I picked up at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) trade show last summer made me tingle with anticipation- Pardo Polymer Clay! Manufactured by Viva Decor, based in Germany, it’s the newest clay in the industry and has the distinction of being beeswax-based. It come is 70 yummy colors, and has some really cool “effects” clays, such as “glitter” and “transparent.” Easy to work, it does have a few drawbacks- one of which is poor availability […]
