I have participated in Ali Edward’s One Little Word for a few years now… I’ve had the word Embrace and Mindful in recent years. But this year I’m coupling my OLW with a craft challenge- #OneLittleTag!
I made a video to explain it…
And
And just to recap, our group is here on FB:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/OneLittleTag2016/members/
And our goals will be to support each other with
- show-and-tell; sharing our creations will keep us on track and motivated!
- sharing techniques and product tutorials
- swap goodie bags of “leftovers” for someone else’s Art Snack
- prompts to get us going each week!
You can collage, sketch, draw, paint, stitch, sew, bead, even encaustic wax! Whatever you can think of to do with a shipping tag (or similar size) that inspires you to try something new and take time for yourself. I hope you’ll join in the fun and help keep ME motivated, too!!

Jenny, What a great idea! I’ve been planning on doing this and started yesterday – really on the 31st but couldn’t decide what to create on. I now have those in two places, not what I wanted. I also wanted something portable when we travel. I do have those tags but also some of the large tags which I think I may use since I need plenty of room! Thanks for the idea. I’m going to now get on the ladder and get those tags down from the top of the rack!! Happy New Year!

I already have an entire box of tags. I enjoy trying new ideas or techniques on them. Exactly to your point, it’s only a tag, so no huge loss if it’s a disaster. I also, always (ALWAYS) make a note of what I did to create the tag (on the back). I learned from my earlier mistake of NOT noting my technique….”how did I make this?” It’s a fun way to keep experimenting and expanding your repertoire of arty methods. (I don’t fb or any of the others) loved your sparkly video. Enjoy CHA again. I loved it last year. An absolute arts and crafts overload. Almost impossible to absorb it all. It was wonderful.

I totally agree with Susan but I’m not that good on the keyboard. Thanks for the idea and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR.

I think this is an awesome idea and ties in with my plans for 2016. I retired in 2015 and one thing I wanted to do was craft/make something every single day. So my word for 2016 is Progress. I want to make progress in getting healthy and losing weight, progress in learning new techniques and making something crafty/beautiful, progress in my spiritual walk with the Lord, and progress in relationships so name a few.

Happy New Year Jenny!
This is a fun challengr! And absolutely I need 10-15 minutes just for me to have craft snack every day 🙂
I’ll join the group and start making tags 🙂 though late…. Thank You so much!

Hi Jenny, I’m coming to this quite late but have put in my FB page request! See what I can do through the rest of the year!
