Here’s a fun craft I shared on Hands On Crafts for Kids– using plastic utensils to make a resist for spray-dyed shirts. It’s a lot less mess (and more immediately gratifying) than tie-dying. It’s a great group craft for scouts, school groups, even family reunions! And you can change the colors to match your school, season, or holiday. Enjoy!
PS- don’t forget to visit my Kids Crafts YouTube playlist for more great segments from the show, and you can watch a full episode on CraftsForKids.com each week!

I am a 71 year old grandmother to three little boys ages 4, 6, and 7. I am looking for a few good things to do with these three loves of my life over Thanksgiving weekend. Oh, I forgot to mention that I am walker and wheelchair bound for the most part, so am in need of some sitdown at the table things to do. I know of a couple of easy card games like sppons, and old maid. But what I’d really like is to have some type of craft things we could all do together. Have any ideas??? Tatum is into airplanes and I am thinking about picking up an airplane kit for him to put together and paint. Sebi loves to pick up stones. He also likes to put together lego kits, but these can be quite costly. I am looking for cheaper things then that. And cute sweet little Miles loves clothes above anything else. He absolutely loves getting new clothes and as a grandma who loves he grandchildren more then anything else on this earth, I am thinking about picking up a T-shirt for each of the boys. But I still need a fun crafty thing to do, that we all can do as a family. Plus pray for good weather that the kids can play outside as well. Want them and us as the adults to all have a good time that weekend.
How fun! Make sure that you look at my Kid’s Crafts tab on this website http://www.crafttestdummies.com/category/crafts-for-kids/ and the Kid’s Crafts channel on my YouTube page. I’m thinking that the Watercolor painting with Kool Aid would be perfect- fun AND CHEAP!!https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLL4PV_T9m3EzBGbJ9moKe-PT6JQnxubOm Have a wonderful weekend!
