Well, you know I joined the Cricut Circle over 3 weeks ago, and I’ve bee waiting……and waiting…..and waiting!!!!! for my welcome kit.
I got all excited last week when I finally got my FedEx tracking number with an estimated delivery date of Thursday. That was PERFECT, because I was leaving for CHA (and the Cricut Circle event) in Rosemont, Ill., on Friday AM.
But.
When I went to track my package on Wednesday (remember, it was due on Thursday) and…um…they didn’t have it. After a few calls, I found that the marketing agency had generated a tracking number without FedEx actually receiving the box. Grrr.
So, that meant that I didn’t have my member number or my charm bracelet for the first Cricut Circle event, but it was waiting for me when I got home.
Hurray! Love the fun packaging….and here’s a closer look at what’s inside:
The French Manor cart, a set of replacement blades (always handy) and my charm bracelet. Now, I’m a wee bit disappointed in the bracelet. (I’m not complaining- just noting that the chain is base metal and the charm is clunky. Many folks on the message boards feel the same way. I’m gunning for a sterling silver version, myself.)
Now, to back-track a little, I got to go to the first Cricut Circle Event held at CHA (since I was there already!) However, I met folks from all over who came long distances to be part of this event. There was a lengthy session of “updates” on how the message boards are working, what Circle members can expect, and what their goal for the Circle really is. (Hint- public service is a part.)
In any event, it was a good meeting, and of course, they topped it off with giveaways and swag. While I didn’t win anything at the meeting (unlike my buddy Lisa), we did get a nice goody pack:
Inside the Yudu bag, there were a set replacement blades, a set of markers, and a blue charm that represents attendance at a Circle event. They also told us that if we volunteer our time at hospitals, schools, etc, for Circle events, there will be service charms to earn.
Now, I’m not in this club to earn charms….but I’m behind the public service portion 100%! I’d love to share my passion for crafting with folks in hospice or rehab centers. And if showing patients how to use the Cricut will make their crafting easier or more meaningful, well…that’s a good thing, as Martha would say.
So, all in all, it’s been a rocky start with the Cricut Circle- but I think it might just be on the right path. What do YOU think?

Looks interesting. I’m not too impressed with the charm bracelet, but the other stuff you got is fun.

I received the invitations in the begining and I am very disappointed with Provocraft to have a “Special Membership” it’s like collage -Sorority all over again. I can honestly say that I spend a lot of money buying the cartridges, I have about over 100 cartridges, the expression, little cricut, cricut create, cricut cake & gypsy etc. I bought 10 cricut create couple of years ago and gave as gifts to my nieces and my first time moms and last year I gave 5 cricut expressions to my nieces and not to mention, I bought cartridges as well. Knowing I spend and really became a good fan of Provocraft, I really don’t think I should pay additional $$$ for a membership?! I guess is that Provocraft does not volue customers like myself!

I agree with Maria. I feel that with all the Cricut products I own, they should be GIVING me a membership. But since that isn’t going to happen I’ve been thinking about buying the membership.
I too own 1 Cricut, 1 Cricut Create, 2 Cricut Expressions (1 is pink), 1 Cricut Expression 2 Anniversary Edition, 1 Imagine, 1 Cricut Cake Mini, 2 Gypsys (1 is my daughters), 3 Cuttlebugs (long story), 2 YourStorys, 1 Yudu, 1 Yudu Card Shop, over 100 cartridges, TONS of Cuttlebug stuff and other Cricut supplies….and even a Provo Craft Nifty Knitter set.
Just this Christmas alone I gave away 2 Cricut Creates, 2 Cuttlebugs, 1 Gypsy, 1 Imagine, about 20 cartridges, and a bunch of Cuttlebug accessories. I have given much more the previous Christmas. I have also donated a Cricut Expression and cartridges to one of our local schools.
I love Cricut and the people that work there are just the nicest ever. Great customer service and support. I just wish they would do something special for their customers that are like me and Maria….I think we deserve something.
BTW…thank you for sharing your Cricut Circle experience….helped me decided that I want to join 🙂
