Tweezers are one of those craft tools that often get overlooked-what I mean is, you don’t think a think about them until you NEED them- and then, often, what you have on hand is just not the right tool for the job.
Now I’m going to introduce you to the best craft tweezers I’ve found on the market: Tweezer Bee Tweezers by EK Success Brands. The blurb from the website says this:
Handy reverse grip and non-stick coating make these tweezers perfect for use with stickers. They have a precision tip, are ergonomically designed and are very compact in size.
Let’s take closer look, shall we?
Tweezer Bees are “reverse” grip- that is to OPEN the jaws, you SQUEEZE the handle. This is opposite of your run-of-the-mill eyebrow tweezers, in which they stay open until you squeeze them shut. Reverse tweezers are far superior for crafting, though: it’s much less work for your hand to pick up something small- say a crystal- and let the tension in the tweezers hold the crystal firmly for you. Then with a gentle squeeze, you release the item. Brilliant. The Tweezer Bee Tweezers also have a nice non-skid grip that keeps them firmly in your hand, even when you are working with wet or slippery items.
The tips of the tweezers are optimal for crafting, too- the curve allows you to pick things up and place them flat while keeping your wrist at a comfortable angle. Again, great for picking up beads, crystals, pearls, etc.
The tips are non-stick- so your stickers won’t stick to your tweezers instead of your project, and they are sharp too- great for grabbing slippery things.
For a tag I was working on, I was dipping teeny tiny little flat-backed Swarovski crystals, dipping them in a puddle of Glossy Accents, and placing them on a stamped image. It was great to squeeze and grasp the crystal with the tweezers and then just one more squeeze to place them. It saved me a LOT of hand fatigue.
And even though I got Glossy Accents all over the Tweezers, they wiped clean.
I have 3 other brands of craft tweezers in my studio- all by major companies- and I just couldn’t bring myself to review them because they just aren’t great. These are by FAR the best craft tweezers I’ve used, and they retail for under $10. They are also readily available at craft stores, big box stores, and online.
So for ease of use, quality, availability, and price point, I’m going to give them the coveted Craft Test Dummies Seal of Approval!
Seriously-get yourself or the crafter in your life a pair!
Disclosure: No material connection, I bought these bad boys with my own cash.

Hey Jenny,
I’m getting hooked on your craft recommendations! I’m going to make an effort to look up your site more often…I don’t get a lot of time during the day to check out fun stuff like this. It’s gonna be my 2012 resolution!

Many thanks for the review! I bought a pair like this about 20 years ago, along with a pair of straight nose, and for the life of me, I can’t get used to the reverse technology! But, they DO have their uses!
