Last week I was watching my friend Christine of ScrapTime use Wendy Vecchi stamps that came with their own stencils and masks for adding layers without over-spraying the background. But then I got to thinking- why couldn’t I do that with my Brother Scan N Cut?
The answer is YOU CAN. And it’s EASY.
Affiliate links provided below for your convenience!
You only need a few things:
- A stamp with a good outline (no interior spaces) stamped in thick black ink
- A Manilla folder or some plastic- I like to recycle clamshell packaging
- Your Brother Scan N Cut (no special or deep blade necessary!)
I made you a video to walk you through it, step by step:
In case you missed it- to cut the plastic you’ll need to:
- Secure the plastic with tape.
- Set Blade: 6
- Set Pressure: 9
- Cut it TWICE for good measure! Adjust the blade deeper if necessary.
Here’s my finished cards:
I am SO EXCITED to make even more stencils and masks for my favorite stamps- it’s so easy and I love being able to add layers upon layers. It has opened a new door of creativity for me!!!
