I love resist techniques, and usually I use clear stamping ink and embossing powder to create a resist on my papercrafting projects. But I was really lazy pressed for time the other day in the studio and wondered if Mod Podge Gloss formula would give me the same effect.
Wanna see the video? {{Spoiler- YES IT DOES!!!}}
So…to recap… you’ll need:
- Mod Podge Gloss Formula
- Foam Roller or Brush
- Stencil of choice
- Baby Wipes
- Water-based spray inks
Roll some MP Gloss over the stencil, remove, and let dry. (You’ll want to wash that stencil promptly.) Spray your dried image with some nice spray inks and then wipe off Mod Podged areas with the baby wipe. SO cool! Instant resist!
I got so excited I made a card using the resisted papers as a background.

Thanks for such an excellent video, Jenny! I usually use matt modpodge so my glossy modgodge was in the back of my cabinet; now I can take it out and use it up with my stencils!

Great idea! I wonder if you have tried the reverse-Mod Podge on the stencil(on a scrap sheet) then use the stencil as a stamp(podge side down onto paper/card), continue as in the video-I am guessing you will get a reverse resist?
