I have a problem; I take too many photos. And then I get stuck in a rut of either trying to scrapbook all of them on 12×12 pages or make mini-books out of special occasions. Eventually I get overwhelmed and never get anything accomplished. Sometimes I just wished there was an easy way to put a few key photos from an event together and have them easily accessible with no fuss or massive amounts of time put towards an end product.
Say hello to Unibind Mybook Collection Photobooks. According to the website:
“The MyBook Collections and PhotoBook Kits allow you to create professional-quality bound books without the use of expensive binding equipment. All you need is a Kit and a Stapler, and you can create books right at home!”
That’s right, no fancy tools are necessary. Just have your printed photos and a stapler. Within minutes you can have your own binded photobook at a fraction of the cost of what you would pay for it to be done at a local retailer. What’s also great is this is PERFECT for quick gifts! There are many themes of covers and kits available to purchase for any of your needs. Another reason why this is great for gifts is that these MyBook Collection kits come with a cute coordinating envelopes and a gold foil seal/sticker to send your photobook to someone special in.
Assembly is again, very easy and the directions are simple to follow. I really liked how they included a template where to place the staples, because that is something I would totally mess up on!
Once you get the hang of the basic book and binding, you can really start to let your creative mind wander! Not only can you make a basic photobook, you could combine it with digital scrapbooking or even make a mini scrapbook! I wouldn’t use too bulky and thick of embellishments or you might run into problems with binding. You can also embellish the cover of your book as I did to the one above:
For this next themed book, I was inspired by the cover with “Thank You” written in different languages. I made some simple “thank you” postcards and used a special blade to cut a perforation at the top of each card. Now the cards are easily removed whenever they’re needed. This would be a great gift!
The Mybook collection kits from Unibind cost around $5.99 for the 4X6 size, and each holds 10 pages. I think this really is a good deal considering you don’t need any extra tools and you would easily be spending double, if not triple of that at a local retailer to have your photos printed and bound in the exact same way. I think stocking up on a few of these to have at home for last-minute projects and gifts would be ideal.  These books can be found at some Target locations and at many online retailers. What do you think fellow crafters? Do you have any crafty and creative ideas of what you would create with the Mybook collection photobooks?
