Yesterday I shared with you my impressions of the Gift Box Punch Board- so today we’ll focus on the Candy Box Punch Board!
Here’s how they are described on the website:
With the release of the award-winning Envelope Punch Board, We R Memory Keepers have helped crafters make the outside of a package count just as much as the inside. The release of a series of Punch Boards continues to do just that. Punch Boards make it easy, not to mention cost effective, to create party bags and boxes simply by punching and scoring using any paper. Create bags and boxes in a variety of sizes and use them for special occasions such as baby and wedding showers, birthdays, holidays, party favors, and more. Use the Punch Boards to create Gift Bags, Gift Boxes, Pillow Boxes, and Candy Boxes. The Punch Boards (MSRP $19.99) begin shipping this October.
Let’s take a closer look!
As stated above, these should be hitting your stores any moment if they haven’t already. Stay tuned, because I have an idea for making a (slightly) larger candy box & a way to use it in holiday crafting!
These will retail for $19.99, but I’m positive there will be sales and specials to be found. Do you think the cost is justified? (Personally, if it encourages me to use up more of my paper hoard stash, then it’s a worthy investment to me!
I’d love your comments & questions!

I was disappointed with all the new punch boards except the gift box one. I would find it very limiting to only use the same width of paper all the time. The boxes and the bag look silly to me when used with paper that’s too long. And unless you are tryin to make a wine bag, and most paper we have on hand that would punch easily wouldn’t hold wine safely, who needs a crazy tall skinny bag?
I would definitely not buy the pillow box or the candy box. I could just as easily buddy up to someone who has a board and get them to send me one to use as a template! Not as fast but for the number of times I’d use it, an acceptable use of my time. Now if they came out with a nifty board to make a pop-up gift card box, that would get my attention!

Just last night I found a tutorial for a similar candy box (“cracker box”) on Pinterest using the original envelope punch board. It’s six-sided and turns out much cuter. The other punch boards might be worthwhile, but I’ll be skipping this one.

Julie- would you paste a link to the source for us? I’d love to check it out!

I have the envelope and box punch boards, mostly for convenience when I’m in a hurry and want a standard size. I got both on 50% off sales. They are too limited, in my opinion, to pay full MRP. I’m also really spoiled because I have 3 different top brand diecutters and I can cut anything I want. However, my go to tool for envelopes and boxes is the Crafters Companion Envelobox and Envelobox Plus. You can make a huge variety of sizes, they’re easy to learn and although there’s a small amount of handcutting, the results are quite nice. I think the WRMK boards are very worthwhile for those with limited space and wanting quick standard sized envelopes and small boxes. They perform fine for what they were designed for and the corner rounder is a tricky neat addition. The bonus for me has been they are easy to use with my arthritic hands and I’m always searching for tools that enhance the dexterity issues arthritis brings. Thanks for your reviews and videos!

Jenny — Here’s another good tutorial that uses the original board to make an envelope box. I love how the original board can be used to make so many different projects! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/92605336061233963/
“Making A Box With The Envelope Punch Board. excellent tutorial and explains how to make ANY SIZE BOX (Diane Dimich)”
I like these measurement better: 9-1/4 x 9-1/4″ w/ 3-5/8″ & 4-3/4″ score lines makes 5-7/8 x 4-5/8 x 3/4″ box (to better fit the height of some envelopes).
