I love dies. I especially love Spellbinder’s dies because of their slim, easy-to-store design and great price point. Now I have even another reason to love them: these innovative Cut, Fold, and Tuck Dies make lovely 3-d embellishments that I could never cut by hand.
Here’s how the Cut Fold and Tuck Dies are described on the Spellbinders website:
Elaborate die cut creations made in minutes! Spellbinders™ Shapeabilities® Cut • Fold • Tuck die templates create intricate geometric designs in a single pass. Simply fold the cut outs and then tuck the folded pieces as you work your way around the die cut. Instantly create dimensional designs! Layer the individual pieces for dramatic effects!
Spellbinders Shapeabilities dies cut, emboss and stencil with a single die template.
Approximate Die Template Sizes:
1: 1â…œ”
2: 2¼”
3: 4″
Let’s take a closer look at the detail of the dies.
I got to play with two different sets- there are currently five different sets available- and they work very well. However, the more intricate the die is- like the Specacular Spin die- the more fussy it is to cut and remove from the die itself.
I’ve got a video overview for you of my experience:
I couldn’t wait to make some projects with my CFT dies!
These dies just blow my mind! They are so lovely and easy to use. If you can just be patient and use your awl, you’ll be happy with your results I think!
Spellbinders Cut Fold Tuck dies retail for $29.99 USD for a 3-die set.

Great review! My machine has been sitting on the top shelf in my craft cave for a long time. I really like the idea of these dies. Thanks for the review.
Karen Kokocki says
Do you know if they work with the cuddlebug??
Jenny says
Karen- they WILL work with the Cuttlebug- just add another piece of cardstock (or two) to “shim” it for a nice cut!
Alice Pace says
Oh my gosh you are killing me….these have to be the most adorable dies ever!
Brenda B says
These are so totally cool! I think it’s probably time that I consider a die cut machine…I guess you could say I’m a bit behind the times.
Jenny says
Vicki- I did get the CFT dies to work with the Cuttlebug- just use an extra piece of cardstock to shim them up a bit!

I bought this die set at the weekend but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Thank you so much for doing this video. I think it’s probably saved me a lot of time and angst!
I’ve even more excited about using it now.

Hi Jenny,
Great review! Is the die used in the Hello card with the bird and MS papers the pinwheel die? I think that one is my favorite!
Jenny says
Yes, I think it is. And I DO love these, especially the smaller sizes for cards!
Laura P. says
Hi Jenny, Thanks! It is the Spectacular Spin die. I clicked on the Amazon box in your post as I would like to order this. Will that get you credit and also will any other items I add to my cart help you? I would like to order the tool you posted about after CHA…I have to go look at your review again but I think you liked the Spellbinders all in one tool for intricate dies??!! Thank you for all of your reviews, and for your project posts as well. I enjoy those, too!
Jenny says

I haven’t reviewed the tool-in-one… still waiting on Spellbinders to send it out. 😉
Laura P. says
Hi Jenny,
Spellbinders needs to send you the tool!! I searched back and found the video you made from the CHA 2014 show. Some of the comments from the post reported problems with the brush, so I hope Spellbinders has resolved the problem. Tell them your readers are waiting for a review from you! I will just go ahead and order it as planned since the company was so good about replacing the defective ones last year. I’d still like to get your take on the tool and any new accessories, though!
