Lisa Falduto of Paper Fashions Boutique is guest posting today, sharing her take on Designer Foils by Clearsnap. Take it away, Lisa!
Today I get to introduce you the brilliant and shiny foils from Clearsnap. When I first received the sample from at CHA summer, I brought it home and went to their website. You should see how many colors they have!
Clearsnap has been around for over 20 years. Did you know they started out in a garage? It always amazes me how folks start a business on a shoestring and over time grow into a leader in the industry. So inspiring! In the beginning it was all about inks and stamps and look how they have grown and diversified!
I should mention that I am no stranger to Clearsnap products as I use many of them already in my crafting. My favorite is the Cat’s Eye fluid chalk inks. They are simply fabulous and such a soft look. I’ve also had the pleasure of using the Smooch and Smooch Spritz products and love them as well.
Alright, first a bit about the product. Each package comes with 6 sheets of one color foil. That is a lot of shiny goodness to have! Next, there are various foil stickers available to use with the foils as well as you will see on the project I created in this post. I used the Christmas color foils along with a Christmas sticker sheet. These are actually quite simple to use.
1. Apply the sticker to your project.
2. Place foil shiny side up on top of the sticker.
3. Rub to transfer
It really is that simple! And below is the completed card with patterned paper on the bottom and everything on the top is foil.
Here is a summary of what I think about the product:
Foils has a nice shine to it
Lots of colors available to use
Easy to apply and use
You get a ton of use from one package of foils
The stickers could be more stable
The foils could be slightly more dense
I think this product is going to be excellent to use on those Christmas cards, tags, and gifts this holiday season. Pick some up today and add some shimmer and sparkle to all of your holiday projects!
