Happy National Craft Month and first day of March! I confess, I LOVE March. (It’s also my birthday month and I have a thing for St. Patrick’s Day, as I’m part Irish! Today, we are going to kick off this month with … a GIVEAWAY!
But first, I want to share that I just got back from HSN (you can read what products I covered here) and I had a lovely, albeit brief, trip. This time I got to hang out a little with crafty pal Megan Elizabeth of Above Rubies Studio. (Remember, she is the creator of the DVD instructional series that includes Cricut A-Z, which we reviewed here on CTD a while ago. She’s now working with Glue Arts, the maker of the Glue Glider which we also have reviewed. She did a smash-up job and her smile lights up the screen. Here’s a pic of us backstage:
I also got to chat a bit with the legendary Joy Macdonnell of eksuccess brands and “Crafting at the Spotted Canary.“She was demo-ing Martha Stewart punches, and was such a lovely and helpful person to talk to! Sadly, I forgot to get a picture of her and I this trip. Maybe next month!

I didn’t even know Mod Podge existed until I joined Pinterest! Once I heard about it, I saw it EVERYWHERE, and promptly had to go buy every single type I could find and glue every single thing together. (My cats still haven’t forgiven me). SO much more useful than glue.

I have used Mod Podge sincemy girls were little, about 45 years. I use it for myself and with the kids I teach at school. I am especially excited about the new products like Dimensional Magic. This looks like a wonderful prize.

I use modge podge over collages to help make them sturdier and keep all the corners down. I do this on trays or as pictures etc.

Hmmm…what do I love about Mod Podge? I love the original formula and have made a LOT of altered projects using it! and I love the Mod Podge clear sealant spray that I finish my projects with, it solves the problem of the Mod Podge’s tendency to be tacky in the humidity of summer here.

I love Mod -Podge because we grew up together. I was a child of the 70′s Mod-Podge and I discovered that we decoupage my wooden “clog” sandals. I then took it a step further and introduced cardboard candy boxes (the kind used for fund raising candy with the handles) Mod-Podge and I made “purses” of the 3d flower kind to raise money. I love Mod-Podge because it gives me the most wonderful memories and hopefully will make some new ones with my Grand-Children and me!

I really love the versatility of Mod Podge. You can do so many things with it and make such beautiful crafts with it. And I feel it is kid friendly too. My 4yr old son loves to mod podge with me!!

What is there not to love about mod podge. My absolute fave thing to do (old fashioned, I know) is to decopoupage photos into a collage on a board from a special occasion and gift it back to someone. I.e. a child’s birthday party. It gives someone a great momento to remember a special day with.

I absolutely LOVE MOD PODGE! I have made several very cute clocks with Clock kits and cool scrapbooking paper and MOD PODGE! Also covered several containers and boxes with cool paper. I am excited but, haven’t yet tried to use the MOD PODGE for fabric on more flexible surfaces.

I have been using Mod Podge since I was a kid. I remember that one of the first projects I used it on was a metal lunchbox that I “decoPodged”. That was way back when there was only one kind of Mod Podge.

Modge Podge is the best! You can collage with it, coat items to make them waterproof and make great crafts. So many possibilities in a jar!

I love the fact that modge podge is easy to use and it dries clear! Not to mention the fact that it dries quite quickly! I use it to seal both of my new magnet lines!

I have to admit, I haven’t used Mod Podge in years! How fun it would be to play around with all these wonderful products! I would probably start by using resist techniques to make unique backgrounds for my cards.
