Ok, you Cricut fans! I know you’ve heard of the Gypsy, that portable design tool for the Cricut electronic die-cut machine– and it’s coming to a Michael’s store near you! While I’m still waiting (we were promised one at Summer CHA…but it hasn’t arrived YET), you die-hard die-cutters can get one starting TODAY, October 4th!
I was hoping to have one in my hot little hands to try it out and give you my impressions, but alas, I might need to get reviews from retail shoppers first. (Hanging head in shame…..)
If you haven’t heard about the Gypsy yet, here’s a little video for you from Christy Nelson!

I just couldn’t help myself when HSN debuted the Cricut Gypsy Sept 24th. I bought it thinking it would be great to be able to “design on the go”. Unfortunately, I haven’t even remembered to take it with me. What’s up with that? I wanted it as much as a teenager wants his or her first kiss, and now I can’t even remember to take it with me!
Another odd thing, I went back to playing with my Pazzles Inspiration cutter after I got the Gypsy. I had stopped for awhile, while I played with my new baby bug cutter (Cricut). Maybe I should send the Gypsy back or sell it on eBay. I think I may have just hit my crafting gadget overload.

Gah! Say it isn’t so! Too many craft gadgets? I hope not!
I would hope that you would at least give the Gypsy and go and let us know what you think of it. I’ve also heard that it will eventually interface with the Yudu, so it might have some additional value/benefits further down the road, too.
Now…how can you remember to take it with you??? Tuck it in a tote? Do you have the car charger? Maybe just leave it in there? Maybe you just have “new gadget jitters” and the whole newness of the thing is putting you off. Good luck, and report back! Thanks for posting, Jenny
