Remember last January when I told you the big, new trend was jewelry? (Read that post here.) Well, honey, I hate to say I told you so….but….guess what I saw at Target last week??
Yup! There it is! I noticed waaaaay fewer rubber stamps things of that nature, and this display was about 6 ft. wide.
Now, this is what I saw in Fairview, Ohio…so what do you see at YOUR Target Store?

Usually it’s between the party goods & office supplies/kid’s crafts. They carry Westcott scissors, EK success brands, and stamps, stickers, and albums!

That’s pretty cool. I still don’t have a Target close by, but it’s nice to see stores expanding their selection for change in trends.

I was in Target yesterday (Aurora) and didn’t notice a craft aisle, though I was in a hurry.
Boy, in that photo you posted, the *gift bags* caught my eye…

I went yesterday specifically looking for the new jewelry stuff and you know what I found . . .a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT line of jewelry supplies. The one I found is called Vintage Groove and is produced by Making Memories (the scrapbooking company.) I was quite surprised. The items were eclectic and vintage looking. I liked them, but much of it looked like stuff I could make myself or get at a thrift store. So, I just got some chain and a brass filigree piece. It was exciting to even have those option in Target though – I’ll be back on that aisle soon!!

Interesting!! I saw the Vintage Groove line by Making Memories & had the same reaction you did. But, it makes sense if Target already carries their scrapbooking supplies that they’d choose to use them for jewelry, too. Wonder how they determine which store gets which items?

I don’t have a target nearby either 🙁 But it is good to see stores adding more crafting supplies

I was in a NJ Target yesterday. They’ve definitely thinned the stamping supplies but there’s no indication that anything new is coming in. However, I’ve also heard they’re bringing in produce in Aug. so any changes like this may wait until the larger ones are in progress.

Wow, my mom and I have always wished that they would do that!!! Ours currently has a smash book section.
