Now that I’m back home (all 100 miles away from Anaheim) and scrolling through the hundreds of photos I took during my two days at Winter CHA 2012, I’m trying to think about what my absolute FAVORITE new releases were. Â There are a lot of things I’m excited to get my hands on and play with, to be sure, and there was no shortage of eye candy at the show.
I’m a huge fan of Christy Tomlinson, so I was super excited to see her new She-Art line out with Pink Paislee. Â A 6×6 paper pad, rub-ons (including punchinella-like ones and stitching/doodling), a vintage doily mask, die-cuts (including a full-sized girl ready to put on a canvas), and tissue paper (with paper dolls on it)…all very cute! Â She also has a coordinating line of stamps out with Unity which look completely awesome. Â This line will make it easy for ANYONE to make canvas art!

Ranger never fails to disappoint, and this year was no exception. Â I had heard of the new Patina metal inks prior to CHA, and I have already purchased a butterfly necklace-pocket watch for the precise purpose of using these incredible inks on it. Â I’m super excited to play with them – I can see all kinds of mixing and layering possibilities!

Also by Ranger is the new line of products by Dyan Reaveley – and I’m over the top excited about them!! Â I adore her lively personality and the bright colors she uses in her art! Â I cannot wait to get my hands on some of her stamps and her new spray inks!! Â (And you might spy in one of the photos the new Distress Markers from Tim Holtz…another exiting release!)

Finally, one of my favorites from LAST year’s winter CHA continues to be a favorite…stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop. Â I’m telling you…they just keep getting better and better! Â You cannot go wrong with these, and there are SO many ways to use them. Â Not only have they continued to add to Julie Fei-Fan Balzer’s line, but they have now developed Dyan Reaveley’s line as well! Â I was stoked to finally get to meet Julie herself, after having taken her online workshop, 30 Days in your Journal, in November. Â She was just as down to earth in person as she appears to be on video. Â And she had “Dirty Girl” stickers for everyone who did her make-n-take…”I don’t clean my stencils,” the stickers went on to say. Â Love that! Â (And no, I don’t clean my stencils either.)
Love this ledger stencil!!

Of course, perhaps the best part of CHA is getting together with old and new friends…
