CHA Hot 20 & Innovations Showcase Winter 2013 #CHAshow – Jenny’s Picks

One of the best features of the Craft and Hobby Association Tradeshow is the Innovations Sneak Peak. (Fit’s a marriage of the CHA Hot 20 and the Innovations Showcase. ) It’s a chance to see some of the cool new products demonstrated in an intimate setting.

Here are some of the products we took a closer look at:
CHA Hot 20

Mix and Match Gelato tool set…. and the new Mix and Match Color sets. I think the color palettes are spot- on, and so much more interesting to use than just a monochromatic set!

These next picture is of the Emma Broidery handbook from DMC- which features memory wire thread. I love the 3-d effect of the wire stitching. CHA Hot 20 DMC Memory Thread

This next photo is of the Envirotex Jewelry Clay. It’s a two-part epoxy clay that is stunning. It has an open time of 2 hours and cures completely in five. AND you can paint it after it’s cured, or work oil or acrylic paint into the uncured clay to tint it.

OH! And here I am taking a look at the Envelope Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers. Make multiple sizes with the same tool- plus a corner-rounding tool and an on-board bone folder.

These silicone mold are designed to be used with gum paste or fondant- but I can see a lot of applications for paper clay, resin, and UTEE.

Purple Cows has come up with an affordable line of Encaustic Waxes to use with their MELT-IT iron. Such lovely color!
