Hello crafters! I know many of you have heard about the new hot products like the Brother ScanNCut and Tim’s Distress Marker Spritzer, (I will be needing both of those in my studio ASAP,) but I thought I’d show you some of my personal favorites spotted at CHA 2014. These will be my tried-and-true booths that I always look forward to going to visit as well as a couple new things that made me catch my breath when I saw them. Take a look and let me know what you think!
Heidi Swapp “Favorite Things”
Oh that Heidi… She gets me every time at CHA. There’s always at least one paper line that I can’t just have one or two pieces of; I have to have the whole she-bang, and “Favorite Things,” was IT this time. It is the perfect mix of feminine florals and bright, high-contrast colors that made my crafty little heart skip a beat. I love the glitter polaroid holders as well as the stars, hearts, arrows and hexi’s stickers! Too cute!
Plaid Mod Melts Gems
Two CHA’s ago Plaid released Mod Melts and Mod Melts molds. Mod Melts are kind of a faux resin that you melt (It’s almost like a glue gun… but cooler) into the molds. Then you get ENDLESS possibilities of lovely little resin embellishments. Well, this season they released a gem and bezels mold which I wanted to grab and run away with at the Hot 100 party. I can’t wait to get my hands on this mold and I believe it will be available in June!
Some Odd Girl
I visited Some Odd Girls at my very first CHA, which was their first CHA, and ever since I go back and visit to see their amazingly adorable stamps and samples! I truly loved all of their releases, but one of my favorites was the hipster stamps which have just been released! I also adore the little fairies which remind me a show (“The Littl’ Bits) that I used to love when I was a little girl. These
Buckle Boutique
I had not heard of Buckle Boutique before and Tanner Bell sent me over to meet them! Let me tell you… Holy Bling! I have never seen so many things blinged out things in my life! I was really impressed with their self-adhesive sticker sheets, (I died…. DIED I TELL YOU, when I saw the rainbow sheet) that you can cut in electronic die cutters and manual die-cutting machine! These are so cool! Check them out and stay tuned for a full review here at Craft Test Dummies!
Sizzix Modern Surrealist Die-Cuts
Remember when I said I loved that rainbow bling sheet from above? And I immediately love anything that reminds me of my childhood. So when I saw Sizzix designer Marissa Pawelko’s new line of die-cuts paired with rainbow bling, my mind immediately traveled back to Lisa Frank and neon dolphin trapper keepers. I love the fun 80’s vibe of these die-cuts; They’re like, so totally awesome, dude.
Well crafters, I hope you enjoyed some of my favorite things from CHA! Anything catch your eye? Let me know in the comments!
