Recycled Bicycle Art by Joseph Dull

When your creative juices dry up a bit, one of the best things to do is to visit an arts and crafts venue. I had my lovely friend Nicole as a houseguest last week, and we did just that at the Open Air in Market Square in Ohio City. While I took in some fabulous handmade art, one really stood out- recycled bicycle art by Joeseph Dull. Take a look:

Bike wheels and stained glass
He scavenges broken bikes and solders colorful stained glass in the spokes to make lovely object d’art. He says they can be hung inside OR outside, and that the copper on the glass patinas and takes on a weathered hue.

Love the pink!

Art work By J. Dull
His prices were very reasonable, from $25 to $65 for the pieces he had on display. And I love, love, love the idea of using trash-heap bound articles and transforming them into kinetic art!
If you love Joseph’s work and just have to own a piece, e-mail him directly at NODULLBOY@aol.com
