Well, folks- today’s the day! CraftTestDummies.com’s official 5th annivesary- or my “blogaversary” as I like to call it! I recorded a message for you all tonight!
I get a lot of feedback from you via comments, tweets, and wall posts about what a cool job I have.
I really, really, really do.
But it’s not really a job.
First of all, I’d need to get paid to do it. Technically, a job is something you do for money. While CTD now does monetize with sidebar ads, affiliate links, and sponsored content, I don’t really get paid to run this site. All of the money we pull in goes back into paying server fees, shipping, gift cards to the #TeamCTD writers, and the biggest cost, trips to the Craft and Hobby Association Tradeshows where we see what’s new-and-coming in the crafting industry. So while I don’t draw a salary, I do get to have most of the products gratis and the networking is invaluable.
I started CraftTestDummies because I love crafting and sharing. I was a “newly retired” music therapist 5 years ago when I started this blog, mostly as a creative and social outlet. I’ve always know that makers and crafters and artists are my “tribe” and I love sharing ideas, project, and most of all good, unbiased information about craft products. That’s something else you should know- I don’t charge companies to review their products on CTD. (You might be surprised to find out that other review sites and blogs DO charge.) Why don’t I? Well, because I feel like if I take a company’s money to review their product, my integrity will be called into question. I will post “sponsored content” which is technically a commercial- but only after I’ve reviewed the product independently. I don’t want you, my readers, to feel as if I’m in the pocket of any one brand, or that I’m saying nice things because I’m getting paid to do so. Instead, I want this blog to continue in the spirit that I started it. I want it to feel like you’ve stopped over for coffee and while we’re chatting, I’m sharing with you a cool project I dreamed up or how a product or tool really worked for me. In shore, I’m aspiring to be the most-trusted craft-review site on the web – and the one you turn to when you have a question or need information.
This is going to be a Big Year. I’ve been alluding to it for weeks now, but it’s true. I’m looking to grow the CTD team again, I have a new gig (you’ll be seeing a lot more of me, hint-hint) and I’m working to improve the quality and content on my YouTube Channel.
But here’s the thing- I’m open to new ideas, too. And here’s where you come in.
In conjunction with my 5th Anniversary, I’m offering a giveaway today, for a $100 Amazon Gift Card.
The ONE MANDATORY entry is to leave me a comment. Tell me what YOU’D like to see here for 2013. More reviews? A particular product? A new series? Tutorials? This is your chance to be specific.
I’ve also created a little survey so you can “vote” for new features or content you might want to see here. Plus, if you follow me on Twitter, Pinterest, or FB, you’ll get extra entries. And if you want, you can come back EVERY DAY for a whole MONTH and enter via tweet. (You get extra points for that, too.)
Click the blue RaffleCopter link if it does not pop up for you automatically.
a Rafflecopter giveaway
Last but not least, I’d like to thank every one of you for supporting CTD with your pageviews, clicks on ads, entries to our sponsored giveways, +1′s on Google, Facebook shares, Pins, and Re-Tweets. You might not realize it, but each one of those actions that you take help us grow and therefore bring more content – FREE- to you.
I look forward to your ideas- and help- in creating an AMAZING 2013.
Thank you and craft on! -Jenny

I would like to see more giveaways
January 6, 2013 at 6:26 pm
Congratulations on the 5 year blogaversary!! That is awesome!! I would love to see more reviews of products. I am a craft hoarder (I subscribe to that page on FB too!) and I really need to keep that at bay (for the sake of my marriage-LOL!) so seeing reviews are a great way for me to figure out if a product is for me. Especially with so many new things coming out!! ARGH!! Thanks so much for this blog and keep it up!
January 6, 2013 at 6:47 pm
I like the reviews- they are so helpful to me. The reviews are a major influence on my trying new products. Congrats on the 5 year blogaversay!
January 6, 2013 at 7:24 pm
I love your videos!! I really like when you show how to use new products and give us the honest opinion of them and I love how you are so quick to answer our questions. Happy Anniversay!!
January 6, 2013 at 7:27 pm
I have really enjoyed watching your videos, and have gained valuable info on products. The one thing I like most and would live to see more of, is how to videos. How do I use that medium, or how does that new product work? Thank you for your help!
January 6, 2013 at 7:31 pm
I would like to see you review cleaning products and film videos of you using them. I really like your videos.
Thank you for your great blog
Donna
January 6, 2013 at 7:45 pm
Reviews are always helpful to me. Also tutorials. Happy Anniversary!
January 6, 2013 at 8:05 pm
I agree with the other crafters. Your videos are so informative!!!! I love how you test each product and compare similar products. Watching your videos has helped me select products and narrow the choices. I trust and value your opinions on products and find myself looking at your reviews before purchasing…..so…continuing with what you already do works for me!
January 6, 2013 at 10:05 pm
I always enjoy tutorials and especially product reviews. The reviews tend to be so indepth and cover product usage in many ways. I hate to admit it but I’m not much of a video watcher.
January 6, 2013 at 10:49 pm
i would like to see more crock pot reciipes.
January 6, 2013 at 11:05 pm
I’m not going to promise crock pot recipes-unless it’s for making soap or something! Lol
January 6, 2013 at 11:35 pm
I would like to see soap and toiletry making product reviews. Maybe even some crafts that may not be as popular like needle punch, flower making, quilling, etc.
January 6, 2013 at 11:46 pm
I do love the tutorials with videos.. It makes it so much easier to jump into a new technique or project after seeing the how to’s and choices. Thank you and happy blogaversary!
January 7, 2013 at 12:01 am
Congratulations on your 5th blogaversary!! I lvoe coming here to see the latest products, techniques and hear your lovely voice! Keep doing what you’re doing, look foward for more crafty videos!

Congratulations! 5 years already? It flew by, eh? Hmmm… I’d really love to see some scrapbook and card making or jewelry making demos and reviews. I’m very interested in watching or downloading detailed instructions that I can use to repeat the results. I adore your reviews – so more, please!
January 7, 2013 at 12:34 am
I like to see the reviews. I would like to see a lot of reviews of crafting equipment. Can’t get enough of it. Giveaways too. Except I would like to win one of them, lol.
Congratulations!
January 7, 2013 at 1:46 am
I would love to see more reviews across multiple different categories, especially fabrics and mixed media. I’d also love to see the reviews organized on the site for easy finding and reference.
I’m not a big fan of the video reviews unless they are tutorials.
Loving a lot of the content on the blog, and am excited to see more!
January 7, 2013 at 2:40 am
I like your product reviews, especially when you compare products that are similar to things that are already on the market.
I also like when the reviews contain instruction/tutorials that show how to use a product, etc.
Good luck with the new venture!
January 7, 2013 at 3:11 am
I love to hear what you have to say about products. I trust you when you share an opinion. More of that would be great. Also, to show how new gadgets and such can be used and multiple ways they work. I love a good video — and your videos are good — so more videos would be appreciated. That’s all I can think of for now except to add Happy five years! That’s a lot!
January 7, 2013 at 7:00 am
you really do have the coolest job – paid or unpaid – ever! I love all the variety you bring to the blog and share. Thank you!
January 7, 2013 at 8:00 am
I began to follow your website recently and like what you already do. So…. Continue your good work and I will be happy!
January 7, 2013 at 9:10 am
I love the reviews you give. It really helps me to decide if a product is worth it’s cost or not. Just continuing what you do now would be wonderful.
January 7, 2013 at 9:12 am
I would love to see more tutorials – I am a visual learner so if I can see how a particular products is used then that helps and then I really want the product. Thanks for what you do I really appreciate all of the info especially on new products. Keep it up!!
January 7, 2013 at 9:16 am
I would love to see more tutorials. You do an excellent job of reviewing products, but learning what to do wth them would be great too.
January 7, 2013 at 9:17 am
The reviews are really helpful to me, I think they are my favorite thing about your blog. But I also like the tutorials for techniques that are new to me, so I’d love to see more of those!
January 7, 2013 at 9:33 am
I like the reviews you did, are so helpful. Wonderful giveaway. Thanks!
January 7, 2013 at 9:38 am
New product reviews are informative and necessary, but I’d like to see more thrifty, recycling, stash-busting ideas, too.
January 7, 2013 at 9:54 am
I love tutorials, so those are always great.
January 7, 2013 at 9:58 am
I’m fairly new to your blog and enjoy it immensely, learning lots from you. If you haven’t already tested it, I’d like to see the e-Bosser reviewed. Thanks.
January 7, 2013 at 10:01 am
I love your reviews!!! I am usually checking the web for “the newest”, “the best”, “the easiest” of everything having to do with crafting and you have been on the top of my blog list! I really appreciate the time you take to do these reviews so I don’t have to find out the hard way! =)
I love tutorials on different techniques (in all mediums) and on the newest tools (or TOYS, as I call them!) – more of these would be on my wish list! =)
Thank you for the chance to win and CONGRATS on 5 years!!!!!!
January 7, 2013 at 10:07 am
Love the reviews, not only do I learn about a new product sometimes I learn a new application for a product I already have/love.
January 7, 2013 at 10:20 am
I love, love, love your enthusiasm! You are have such an obviously happy, friendly personality. I do feel like I am visiting with a friend when I read your blog each day. Happy blogsversary!! Your are so on the right track I can’t think of a thing to “wish” for!
January 7, 2013 at 10:56 am
Happy Blogaversary! I’d like to see tutorials on different or unusual ways to use various products and tools – ideas for using them in ways that aren’t normally done.
January 7, 2013 at 11:19 am
Congratulations!! Great job on the 5 years!!
I appreciate the honest and thorough reviews that are presented. While I am not into all kinds of crafts, I do sometimes enjoy seeing other craft items and learning about them. I like the wide variety of crafts that you do cover and it sometimes gives me ideas for the crafts I do work on or an idea that I might try something new.
I would love to see more reviews as well as more projects, ideas, patterns, and/or techniques. Sometimes it is nice to learn a new way to use an older tool or product. The more I can get out of what I have, the more value it has. So this is an area I would love to see more emphasis.
Keep up the good work and thank you for all that you do!!
Best wishes for the future!!
January 7, 2013 at 11:22 am
I would love to see polymer clay items reviewed. Tools, textures, stamps, powders, books and/or anything that could possibly could be used with polymer clay. There is a lot of cross over from other crafts to polymer clay.
January 7, 2013 at 11:25 am
I’m fairly new to your blog but love it!!! It’s cool finding out about products before I buy them. I’ve bought a couple of dies for my Grand Calibur (Spellbinders) that are from different manufacturers only to find that they then do not work in my machine!!! I wish I’d have asked you bout this first. Do you have a review of dies/machines that could show which dies do or do not work with ALL machines?? This would be super cool and a real help!!!!
Happy 5th Blogaversary!!!!! I can’t wait to see more!!!
January 7, 2013 at 11:27 am
Congratulations Jenny!!!! I love the site and can’t wait to see all the new and wonderful things you have up your sleeve. Love ya!!!!
January 7, 2013 at 11:42 am
I really appreciate the product reviews. It is very helpful in determining whether or not it is something I need or not. The videos are great. A picture can be worth a thousand words.
January 7, 2013 at 11:46 am
I would love to see more posts for home decorating crafts and easy to do crafts for beginners.
January 7, 2013 at 11:51 am
I would like to see more giveaways on CTD this year
January 7, 2013 at 12:14 pm
Congrats! What I’d like to see continue is your honest reviews of popular and current craft products and include a project idea of how you used/tested the product you’re reviewing. It’s may favorite kind of your posts!
January 7, 2013 at 12:15 pm
Huge and hearty congratulations on five years! I am getting into craft journaling this year so I’d love to see tutorials on the basics. What are your must-haves (and I know you’ve covered some of that already, I just have to go back and find it…). And I’d love to see myself as a contributor
January 7, 2013 at 12:28 pm
I just found your blog and have really enjoyed reading the reviews — especially the one about the Fiskars Fuse. Congrats on five years!
January 7, 2013 at 12:59 pm
Please notice change in email
Jenny, I can’ find an access to comment on the blog giveaway.I like your review of products or instruction about how to do a projec, like the angle from Martha stuart’s punch around.I also really like your comparisons like the one about the whit pens and the gel mediums.
I still don’t have a clear undertanding of the different types of stamp pads, like chalk versus all the other kinds and what they’re for.
Also a comparison between Smmoch, H2o,s spitsers, etc.
Than you. You do an excellent job.
January 7, 2013 at 1:44 pm
My main interests are cardmaking, scrapbooking, a little bit of mixed media. The things I find the most useful are reviews of new products in those categories and the ones where you compare multiple brands of one type of item (I recall one about black ink pads, I think?) Really invaluable.
January 7, 2013 at 2:11 pm
I would like to see more giveaways with less days open.
January 7, 2013 at 2:18 pm
I’d like to see more tutorials. Many of your product reviews are of no interest to me as I am on a limited income and the reviews only make that harder, because it makes me want what I can’t afford. Tutorials allow me to take a basic idea and adapt it to fit my craft allowance.
January 7, 2013 at 2:59 pm
Rebecca- your comment is here- so it works! I do have a post up comparing different sprays/mists here: http://www.crafttestdummies.com/craft-product-reviews/getting-inky-a-comparison-of-spray-inks/ Enjoy! -Jenny
January 7, 2013 at 3:01 pm
I really appreciate the product reviews. You have kept me from spending money foolishly. I am a polymer clay artist and general crafter and have been for many years. I would love to see more things relevant to polymer clay, there is quite a bit of cross-over from the scrapbook/cardmaking world using stamps and mica powders and inks.
January 7, 2013 at 3:40 pm
I really enjoy your blog. The product reviews, ideas and tutorials are wonderful. One thing I’m trying to start doing is etched glass and stained glass. I would love to see tutorials, pattern ideas, etc. on these and other non-traditional crafts. The giveaways are teriffic! Maybe one day I’ll win one.
Keep up the good work for the benefit of all of us. Thank you so mmuch for sharing your knowledge/expertise/ideas with all of us.
January 7, 2013 at 4:18 pm
I want to see more product reviews. Often you review products i haven’t seen before! Keep up the good work!
January 7, 2013 at 6:48 pm
I love your reviews and often point people to you. Thanks for all you do!
January 7, 2013 at 6:52 pm
I love to see your product reviews…keep up the great work!
January 7, 2013 at 7:00 pm
I love, love, love reviews, which is why I’ve gravitated to your YouTube channel. I do love a giveaway, so that’s always fun. I also love tutorials. I just want you to keep finding products I haven’t tried and show me how they work and tell me what you think of them.
January 7, 2013 at 7:01 pm
I would love to see product reviews that specifically compare new products to old so I know when it might be worth replacing something I have. I’m loathe to do so unless I know the new product is heads and tails better than the old.
January 7, 2013 at 7:41 pm
I know that I’ve brought product and not used it simply because I don’t know how it’s meant to be used. This is one of my go-to places to find out the answer to my questions via your reviews and tutorials on new products–so that’s what I want. More reviews and tutorials!
January 7, 2013 at 7:48 pm
Keep giving us more of the same! Your video reviews are thorough and very informative. Especially when it comes to the more expensive purchase decisions. Really, I don’t know what to suggest. You cover a lot of what I like to see!
January 7, 2013 at 7:52 pm
i enjoy the content of your blog already! so you don’t have to change anything as far as i am concerned! i wish you all good things in 2013 and huge congratulations on your 5th anniversary!!

im having a hard time coming up with what i think is missing on the site! thanks for an awesome resource!
January 8, 2013 at 9:48 am
I really love the reviews! Whenever I learn of a new product or see it in one of the craft stores, I hurry home to log on to your blog to see if you have done a review of it before I make the purchase. I love your matter-of-fact, honest approach when you do a review. And I do love the tutorials! You’ve inspired me to try new things that I never thought I would be able to do! Thanks, Jenny!
January 8, 2013 at 11:22 am
I like to see really in-depth product reviews, where the testers truly use (and abuse) the products and put them through everything they can think of. If that came with lots of suggestions for out-of-the-box ways to use product, I’d be thrilled.
January 8, 2013 at 2:59 pm
More tutorials!
January 8, 2013 at 3:37 pm
I am a paper crafter so anything in that line I would love to see more of! Bring it on! Thanks!

January 19, 2013 at 12:33 pm
I like the reviews, especially ones from smaller companies. The big brands are flooding the market with die cuts, mists, stencils, etc. It is always refreshing to find out about products we may not find on our own.
January 19, 2013 at 12:39 pm
I always love a new series!!!:)

January 19, 2013 at 2:57 pm
I love the product reviews and testing that you do. Every time i see a new product (often just new to me) in the store I come running to your website to see if you’ve played with it. I”m especially interested in paper arts stuff. Keep up the good work!!

January 19, 2013 at 7:06 pm
I’d love to see quick & easy crafts!
January 19, 2013 at 8:07 pm
I’ve gone back through some of your older reviews and blog posts & I’m very impressed!!! This year I would love to see some reviews of die-cutting dies. Not just a regular type review but something that shows us which dies work with which machines! It’s very VERY CONFUSING!!! I have dies/embossing folders that won’t work with my machine! Did I know that in advance??? HECK NO! Anything really to do with die-cutting would help! Not all of us are “professionals” or “designers” and like to see how some of the new stuff works!!
January 20, 2013 at 2:18 am
I really enjoy reading your reviews of popular products- especially those I see on every other craft blog and Pintrest. I love the idea if Youtube videos! It is so helpful to see a product in action BEFORE buying it! Thank you for your honesty and site!

As a new crafter, I am always appreciative of tutorials!
January 20, 2013 at 11:40 am
I love seeing step-by-step photos or video, it’s a great way to really see what a project or product is all about.
January 20, 2013 at 1:12 pm
I’d love to see posts about jewelry making especially earrings.
Thank you.
January 20, 2013 at 4:22 pm
I love seeing tips for preventing craft fails…like I just learned today about using wax or parchment paper in my diecutting machine along with the cardstock to make even the most intricate designs pop cleanly right off the die. Yay!
January 20, 2013 at 5:27 pm
More reviews!!! Especially more reviews of various coloring elements, from paints to colored pencils to markers and chalks.
January 20, 2013 at 6:35 pm

January 20, 2013 at 9:09 pm
Wow, I had no idea you used to be a music therapist! So cool…I’m an expressive arts therapist and an avid crafter/artist…so, I would love to see you maybe share some of the healing benefits of using creative expression in some tutorials???? Plus, any of your tutorials are good with me! I really appreciate that you don’t accept payment for reviews, as I have been able to come here and trust I’m getting an honest review.
January 20, 2013 at 10:31 pm
I love your how-tos; I’d like to see more of those, especially for practical projects, since you already do a lot of purely decorative ones.
January 21, 2013 at 11:33 am
HI, the thing I like most is introducing new product and review of product. I am at home, with a limited budget, so I appreciate knowing how something works before I put the money out to get it. By reading reviews and watching videos I get a much better idea if that item work for me. I also would like to see a whole series dedicated to tools. There are so many new tools how are we to know which ones will be tools we don’t know how we lived without or that it will sit in the drawer forever or it ends up on ebay. Thanks for all your hard work.
January 21, 2013 at 1:39 pm
I’m really intrigued with alcohol inks, but I’m not sure what you can really do with them…I’d love to see some ideas!
January 21, 2013 at 1:40 pm

I love the detailed product reviews you provide. I would love to see some on more mixed media mediums. Either way you do a fabulous job with the site!
January 21, 2013 at 2:03 pm
Tutorials, please! I love trying new things and am much more likely to jump in if some brave soul has paved the way and given some hints about navigating the learning curve. I can’t wait to see what you’ve got up your sleeve this year! Thanks for all you do!
January 21, 2013 at 2:13 pm
Congratulations~ I love reviews of products. I love tutorials. I find inspiration at your site, and your facebook posts. I think what I’d most like to see here is whatever you like…not sucking up, I mean that you love this stuff, and as long as it’s still fresh and inspiring to you, it will be to others. Keep it up!
January 21, 2013 at 4:45 pm
I’d like to see more reviews, and comparing similar products.
details details!
January 21, 2013 at 7:43 pm
Please continue with the new product reviews. Living in a small town gives me ideas on what to purchase (or try to find) when I go to the “big city”. Totally inspired by yours posts and Happy 5th Blogaversary!

I wanna be the next Amazon Idol. Oh boy I think I’ve been watching to much AI already. Lol.
January 23, 2013 at 3:26 am
More product reviews. They help in choosing what to buy.
January 23, 2013 at 8:41 am
More tutorials. Videos r great way to learn.
January 23, 2013 at 5:07 pm
Its really hard to think of ways that you could do better (and I’m not brown-nosing I swear!!). I feel like you excel at tapping into what we need or want. Top of my list is more product reviews; those are so incredibly invaluable, especially since you do such a thorough job with them. Maybe you could do more product comparisons where you both highlight similar products AND also when you can show things that can substitute other products. Maybe you could also make simple charts that are great references for beginners- like explaining what adhesives work with what medium etc.
I can’t wait to see what your next year will have in store for us!!
Best wishes,
Jenn

I’d like more reviews, and crafts for kids. I thank CTD because I see a lot of products and projects here that I would never have known.
January 24, 2013 at 5:28 pm
Product reviews are very cool. I love winning stuff! Thanks!
January 24, 2013 at 5:40 pm
I like seeing all sorts of crafts, especially for kids.
Also anything to do with crochet catches my attention quickly.
January 24, 2013 at 5:44 pm
quilting tutorials would be nice. Thanks!
January 24, 2013 at 5:49 pm
I’d definitely like to see new product tutorials. I am a visual thinker….watching a demo is far better for us than trying to learn with written instructions! Thanks!
January 24, 2013 at 5:57 pm
I’d like to see more giveaways. They keep me interested in checking out the blog.
January 24, 2013 at 5:59 pm
I would love to see more tutorials and product reviews. Standing in the craft store and looking at all the different products can be really confusing and annoying. I would love lists of the top products for different areas in the crafting world!
January 24, 2013 at 6:19 pm
I love the reviews. Hope to keep seeing those. They are very helpful. Look forward to what you have for us this year.
January 24, 2013 at 6:35 pm

January 24, 2013 at 7:01 pm
Product reviews rock. Love the ideas of comparing products and different lines. Love tutorials….visual learner here! Congrats on the anniversary of the blog. That is totally awesome!
January 24, 2013 at 7:05 pm
Thanks for all your posts, I’d definitely like to see more reviews but actually would love to see comparisons. Like for example, comparing the scoring tools from ScorPal, Stampin Up, and Martha Stewart as well as having a dedicated tool for scoring vs something like a paper trimmer with a scoring blade attachment.
January 24, 2013 at 7:42 pm
I like your open honest insight on what is out there. Maybe you could do special segments for those that can’t (or shouldn’t) use regular products. What are good substitutes, if any. If you already have something like this please let me know.
January 24, 2013 at 8:35 pm
Love reviews on new products and tutorials using new products, so hope to see more. thanks for the chance to win.
January 24, 2013 at 8:57 pm
Congratulations!! Great job on 5 years!!
I really like what you are already doing so keep do that….But I would also like to see more crafts that haven’t been created by to many people…Alot of do it yourself creation are basically a do over from something someone else has made…..
January 24, 2013 at 10:00 pm
I would love to see more reviews of digital items…since I am finding myself combining physical and digital more and more these days. Thank you for the chance to win! Happy anniversary!
January 24, 2013 at 11:11 pm
I would love to see crafts that sway more to Senior citizens. Things that are not child like but things they can make without cramping up the arthritic fingers, etc.
January 25, 2013 at 12:08 am
Congratulations on five great years! I love your “stuff” but, I would like to see more “earth friendly” ideas. My son (he’s 13) and I love to make things but recently he has become very aware of the world around him and he is all about “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” and he has infected me with the bug as well. I think it would be fantastic to see more ideas he would like. Thanks for the chance to offer my opinion.
January 25, 2013 at 12:10 am
I like knowing how a product works and if it works;) If it is worth my money (which is tight right now); budgeting is so important and I do still want to craft so reviews and how-toes are what I need. Thanks! Con

January 25, 2013 at 8:35 pm
I would like to see more reviews on products. I like to know what I’m getting before purchasing. Plus I love tutorials. I like being able to see how things should come out and then try them myself with maybe a few additional tricks that I have picked up along the way. Happy Anniversary and looking forward to the future projects, etc.
January 25, 2013 at 9:07 pm
Tutorials always get my attention…fun stuff!

More xyron tutorials and some more giveaways!
January 28, 2013 at 1:25 pm
I would love to see more tutorials. There are so many great products available but without the know how and all the unique ideas, the products just sit on your desk. If we are shown and taught many different techniques we will want to buy more products. It is a win win for everyone!
January 28, 2013 at 1:25 pm

January 28, 2013 at 3:05 pm
My biggest wish if for tutorials, using new products. I can’t afford to take many classes this year (paying off last year’s extravagant art related trip!) so am looking for alternate methods of learning to do things.
January 28, 2013 at 4:28 pm
I would like some yarn based projects.
January 28, 2013 at 5:31 pm
please continue doing the reviews of products…they are very helpful. I also love your tutorials! Thanks!

Definitely reviews of products and I’ve got a new cutter that I’d love to walk through step by step putting cards etc. together (cutting, embossing, coloring etc.) Thanks SO much for all you do AND happy anniversary!
January 29, 2013 at 12:13 am
I am new to the blog so I can tell what I like to see on trusted blogs – short informative posts – it can be a technique, a new product, a new company – those in particular are awesome for all involved since new small business often lack the marketing budget to reach customers and it is always fun to discover a new supply of crafty goodness. I also like it made clear when it is a paid for posts 9or sponsored or somehow funded by the manufacturer) versus one where the blogger just freely shares an pinion. I am happy to buy or accept a marketing POV but I do want to know when it is advertising and when it is just a crafter sharing opinions. I find that one thing often lacking on most crafty blogs is good organization of topics – whether done by tags or category / links or some other hierarchy, it can be difficult to find what you are looking for. So bonus points for doing – as far as I can tell as a new user – a good job on that… Loved the CHA coverage so hopefully that continues!
Also love organization / storage posts since I find that often challenging as my stash grows but my home sadly does not:-)
January 29, 2013 at 12:14 pm

Things to do with kids would be awesome.
January 29, 2013 at 8:38 pm
Congrats on your anniversary. I’d love to see product comparisons- ie – do waterproof inks really not run, which yarns stand up to washing and not pill, which die cutting machine is most economical, etc. I think these types of reviews would be really helpful in letting us get the most crafting for our bucks,
January 29, 2013 at 9:08 pm

January 30, 2013 at 2:42 am
I happened to view one of your YouTube videos quite by chance and that was all it took. I was hooked. I kept watching them one after another. Why? Mainly because of the way you present the product you are reviewing or a new technique or what have you. I appreciate your honesty and candor, your sense of humor and your ability to laugh at yourself. After all, crafting is an extension of ourselves, so it’s bound to represent who we are at some level and your blog shows me that. So please continue doing what you do. I have learned so much about crafting products by watching your reviews, enabling me to make better choices. I really enjoy your tips and techniques, too. Thanks for all you do. Looking forward to all the great things to come!
