I’m sure you’ve been enjoying all of the great new craft products Team CTD found for you at CHA this year but have you ever wondered what goes on BESIDES walking the show floor?
A LOT!
I thought I would share a little behind the scenes look a la Vicki O’Dell The Creative Goddess (that’s me!)
First of all, can I tell you how hard it was to leave the frozen tundra of NE Ohio and visit Anaheim, CA?
Yeah, not very hard at all.
Friday was kind of a relaxed day. We went to Downtown Disney and had a fabulous Italian lunch and spent quiet a bit of time walking in the sun.
SUN! Time to store up some vitamin D for the coming months of freezing weather back home.
Friday evening after the Designer Sneak Peek there was a fun street party with food trucks, drinks and a band.
Then fellow CTD team member Sarah and I helped Prime Publishing pack up eleventyhundred swag bags for their big blogger event.
Which means we got to sneak a peek into the swag bags and see what everyone would be getting. This is the swag bag from iLoveToCreate.
Saturday morning started off bright and early. I had three badges again this year. Whew!
First, I did a demo in the ICE Resin booth which you can see on the Craft Test Dummies YouTube Channel.
Here is a necklace and pair of earrings that I had on display in the booth which can also be found in an eBook that just got released.
Then I zipped over to the Krylon booth to take a few photos of some of the projects I had on display there before I went to a few meetings.
Later in the afternoon I got a sweet package from the folks from Krylon. A bunch of other bloggers got them too!
And then there were more meetings and two parties to attend. Yeah, I know. It’s tough.
Sunday morning I got to have a early yummy and informational breakfast with the folks from Plaid Enterprises. Bacon!
And I got to visit with Candie Cooper – holding her latest book.
Then it was over to the Smoothfoam booth for a Make and Take.
More meetings, Dinner with team CTD and, I will admit, I crashed early.
Finally, on Monday I didn’t have too many meetings and I went by the ETI booth to grab a quick photo of a sample I had in their booth.
Tuesday morning I zipped around the show floor for an hour or so trying to catch up with some of the people and companies I missed and then it was back to the airport for the trip home.
I caught this photo of the sunset from the window. So many lovely colors.
Well, I hadn’t planned to do a behind the scenes post but it was kind of fun. I will have to remember this for next time and be sure to get some better photos to share with you.

Very interesting! Question: I know a lot of people who have gone with multiple badges, like yourself. I’ve only gone with one badge. Is CHA okay with people having multiple badges? How common do you think it is?
