I LOVE crafting for the holiday seasons. I gladly put my hand up for school parties, fundraisers, and occasionally wake myself up in the wee hours thinking about what I need to make next. Most, if not all of the above examples include deadlines. I also teach at local bead shop, and so I have deadlines there, too: get this sample done, get my next project in, etc. Then there is my free-lance craft product review blogging. Write an article […]

As I write this, I am far, far from home and away from my studio. What better way to kill some time than to shop, right? So I head on over to my local Kohl’s Department store here in Grafton, WI, and I start shopping for a new winter coat and scarf. What I see in the hat/scarf aisle stops me dead in my tracks: Can you believe it?? All of these hats and scarves are totally swiping the “handmade” […]
Everyone knows that I’m a hard-core crafter, but my husband does not share the same love of all things crafty. He has his own creative outlets, and is supportive of mine…BUT…we do not share any kind of artsy/craftsy endeavors whatsoever. UNTIL NOW. This is also a super-easy craft to do, with few simple items. I made mine using the Memory Makers’ “Slice” to cut out my template, but you could do that by hand. So here’s what I used and how I did it: Materials: Baby snap-suit (Onesies is TM’d by Gerber, BTW) or […]
Ok, you Cricut fans! I know you’ve heard of the Gypsy, that portable design tool for the Cricut electronic die-cut machine– and it’s coming to a Michael’s store near you! While I’m still waiting (we were promised one at Summer CHA…but it hasn’t arrived YET), you die-hard die-cutters can get one starting TODAY, October 4th! I was hoping to have one in my hot little hands to try it out and give you my impressions, but alas, I might need […]
